Voice Recording for Connexions - Case Study
Voice-over artists are often used in the process of creating information films, CDs and even websites. In recent years organisations have needed to tailor this information to make it available to those for whom English isn't their first language. Connexions, a public service organisation based in Luton, offer free guidance and support to all young people between the ages of 13-19. They contacted us to see if we could help with a pilot CD that would communicate their services into Urdu, Polish and Portuguese .Upon successful completion of the pilot project, we were again called upon to translate the same script into a further 20 languages. This resulted in a single CD offering information in Albanian, Arabic, Bengali, Bulgarian, Croatian, Farsi, French, Kurdish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Mandarin Chinese, Pashto, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Somali, Tamil, Tigrinya, Turkish, Urdu.
